What is spinal decompression?

There is a new non-surgical method that is very popular in the treatment of herniated disc. That is spinal decompression. So how is this method?

1. What is spinal decompression?

Spinal decompression is a non-surgical method that helps relieve back, neck or leg pain. It changes the force and position of the spine with traction. It gently relaxes the spinal pressure, reducing pressure on the spinal discs. Thereby, it helps promote the movement of water, oxygen and nutrients into the plates so they can heal.

2. When to use spinal decompression?

Doctors use spinal decompression to treat diseases of:

- Back or neck pain or sciatica;

- Spinal disc herniation or degenerative disc;

- Osteoarthritis of the spine;

- Spinal nerve roots are damaged.

3. How to extract the spine?

During treatment, the Patient will lie on a mechanical traction device. This device is like a table.

- If treating back pain: the straps of the device will be used to keep the upper body stable. The bottom does not have to use straps.

- If treating neck pain: the belt will be used to fix the patient's head to the device.

4. Does spinal decompression have side effects?

Any method is like that, it will certainly have side effects. But the level is dangerous or not?

In some cases, patients may feel nauseous or have a headache.

If the condition persists or becomes more severe, the patient must see a doctor immediately for control.

5. Subjects are not allowed to use spinal decompression?

Although highly effective, not everyone can use this method. Some of the following situations must be considered before decompressing the spine:

- Pregnant women;

- People with spinal dilation;

- People who have transplanted in the spine;

- People with tumors, infections, spondylitis, spinal stenosis;

- People with osteoporosis, vertebrae slip;

- People who are taking anticoagulants.

6. Where is spinal decompression treatment good?
